Labour Party Denies Merger With Any Political Party, Affirms Strong Presence in Ika Federal Constituency

The Labour Party has reaffirmed that it remains fully active in Ika Federal Constituency, dismissing rumours of a merger with any political party in Nigeria.

The Chairman of the party in Ika South Local Government Area, Pastor Clement Irabor, made this clarification while speaking with journalists in Agbor during the week.

Labour Party Still Active in Ika South and Ika North East

According to Pastor Irabor, the Labour Party continues to operate effectively in both Ika South and Ika North East Local Government Areas, maintaining its political structures and grassroots presence across the constituency.

He emphasized that the party has not entered into any merger or alliance with other political parties in the country.

“Labour Party still exists in Ika South and Ika North East Local Government Areas. Our party did not merge with any political party in Nigeria. Labour Party is fully on ground in Ika Federal Constituency,” he stated.

Residents Urged to Ignore Merger Rumours

Pastor Irabor urged residents and supporters of the party to disregard any reports suggesting that the Labour Party has merged with another political party.

He described such claims as false and misleading, stressing that the party’s leadership and members remain committed to strengthening its political base in the constituency.

Party Preparing for 2027 Elections

The Labour Party chairman also noted that the party is gaining momentum in Ika Federal Constituency as it prepares for future elections.

He expressed confidence that the party is well positioned to contest and win elective positions in the 2027 general elections, encouraging members and supporters to remain loyal and dedicated.

Pastor Irabor further called on party faithful to continue supporting the Labour Party’s vision and political activities in the area.
